Sopro scoops two awards in latest trophy win

Less than two weeks after our last award win, Sopro has scooped a dramatic double award win at the UK Business Awards 2021.

In a special edition of the annual ceremony, the UK Business Awards looked to celebrate businesses that had shown “amazing resilience and ingenuity” during the pandemic.

“These awards celebrate the heroic people in business in the Covid era – the people who have fought and survived and those who have coped with unprecedented change and growth.”

First, we are delighted to announce that we have won a UK Business Award for Best Place to Work in the SME category. 

This award recognises the culture that we’ve worked hard to build, making Sopro a place that people enjoy working at. Building that community and togetherness was something all businesses found difficult during the pandemic, so it’s a real joy to know our efforts have been recognised.

Next up, we have won in the ‘Hero in a Pandemic’ category – following on from our recent ‘Community Hero’ success. This award recognises the great work our Level Up Laptop scheme has done.

The project is close to our hearts, so all of us at Sopro are really proud to win this one. Level Up Laptops launched to bridge the digital divide – the project aims to help children without access to digital learning resources living in Sussex. We joined forces with some charity partners – Tarner Community Project, KLYK and Tech-Takeback.

The project would have been nothing without the generous support of all the Sussex businesses that donated their devices and contributions.
