Our application process
We keep things simple, structured, and human. We carefully read every application. If your experience aligns with the role, we’ll be in touch to arrange a first conversation. Here’s what usually happens:
01. CV review
Your CV should highlight your most relevant experience. It should be clear, easy to follow, and tailored to the role you're applying for. A cover letter is a chance to tell us why you’re interested in the role, what makes you a great fit, share a bit of personality, and highlight anything your CV doesn't tell us.

02. Initial interview
A 45–60 minute video call with our Talent team. You’ll learn more about Sopro, the role, and what it's like to work here. We’ll ask questions about your background, goals, and interests - sometimes beyond the job description - so we get to know the person, not just the CV.

03. Practical task
A short assignment that reflects real work you’d be doing in the role. It’s not a trick test, it’s a way for both of us to understand how you approach tasks and solve problems. You’ll tell us when you can complete it, and we’ll work around your schedule.

04. Final interview
A deeper discussion with your potential manager. We’ll talk through your assignment, explore your approach, and dig into your experience in more detail. This is also your chance to ask anything, from team culture to growth opportunities.

How we hire: FAQs
We know applying for a new role can come with lots of questions, so we’ve answered some of the most common ones below.
How can I prepare for my interview?
Start by thinking about why this role and Sopro appeal to you. If you’ve done a bit of research into what we do, even better: it shows curiosity and intent. But you don’t need to memorise our website. Be yourself, be honest, and be ready to talk about the parts of your experience that best match the role. Think about examples that show how you work, not just what you’ve done. And don’t be shy about asking us questions too… this is a two-way conversation.
What should I know about video interviews?
Most of our interviews happen on Google Meet. We treat them like in-person meetings, so it’s worth finding a quiet spot where you can speak comfortably. Good lighting helps too. Avoid taking the call while on the move, especially if you're driving (yes, we’ve seen it!). A little preparation goes a long way in helping us have a great conversation.
When will I hear back after my interview?
We aim to get back to everyone within a week of your interview, sometimes sooner. If we say we’ll update you by a certain date, we will. And if anything delays that, we’ll let you know. Regardless of the outcome, you’ll always hear from us. We know how frustrating silence can be.
What happens after I accept an offer?
First off: congratulations! Once you’ve formally accepted the offer by email, our legal team will be in touch to get your contract signed. A week before your start date, your new manager will send a welcome message with practical details for Day 1 (where to go, what to expect, who you’ll meet). You’ll also receive access to our pre-boarding platform, where you can get to know our business, culture and people before you even log in on day one.
Can I reapply for a role at Sopro?
Yes! If it’s been at least six months since your last application or interview, and you feel you’ve developed your experience or skills since then, we’d love to hear from you again. We’ve hired people on their second (or even third!) try. You’re also very welcome to apply for a different role if you feel there’s a better fit.
Is it OK to apply for more than one role?
It is. If more than one role feels like a match for your skills or interests, go ahead. That said, we recommend applying to no more than two at a time as it helps show clarity about what you’re looking for. If you do apply for more than one role, just mention it in your cover letter so we can have a broader conversation with you and explore where you’d be the strongest fit.
I know someone at Sopro. Can they refer me?
Yes, absolutely. We trust our team to spot great people. If you know someone at Sopro, feel free to send them your CV directly. They’ll know how to pass it along to our Talent team. Once we receive your application, the process is exactly the same as for anyone else, but you’ll start with some inside perspective on what it’s like to work here.
Can I share feedback on the recruitment process?
We’d love that. You might receive a short anonymous survey during or after your recruitment process. It’s completely optional, but incredibly helpful. We’re always looking to improve how we connect with candidates, and your input helps shape a better experience for everyone.
