Your journey as Marketing Operations Executive at Sopro

With so many different aspects to our work, no two days are the same at Sopro operations. Whether it is working with data sets in Excel, jumping on calls with clients across the world, working with our internal software, analyzing reports, and learning about different industry sectors, there is no typical day here.

That’s why we don’t limit ourselves to one specific profile of candidates. Our team is made up of people with a broad range of experience who each brings something different to the table.

Our Ops Department proves that with good time-management and organization skills and a knack for prioritising, juggling multiple tasks while delivering a world-class service is possible. And with a dedicated mentor to guide and support you, you’ll be up to speed and helping our clients grow in no time.

But we don’t expect you to know everything from day one: every new starter gets a dedicated mentor to guide them through the learning process. And we don’t stop once you’re up to speed: everyone has a clear progression path, so you’ll continually learn and grow as a professional.

You’ll ramp up your data management and technical skills by:

logo Learning internal systems for data sourcing, campaign management and performance tracking.

logo Using external tools and platforms to complement the campaign’s DNS setup process and meet high deliverability standards. This will include mailbox setup, testing tools, hosting platforms and more.

logo Diving into some basic HTML to ensure everything is on point with the email templates from every angle –front and back.

logo Getting creative with internal and external data sourcing platforms to zero in on the clients’ ideal customer profiles.

logo Becoming a pro in CRMs.

You’ll improve your analytical and strategic thinking skills:

logo We are good at reading numbers – firm stats back up everything we do. And in no time, you’ll master the art of basing all your campaigns’ strategic decisions on well-analysed reports.

logo We have the patience, brains and experience to monitor campaign deliveries. We record and circulate performance stats in order to drive the daily and weekly tweaks needed to achieve results.

logo We benchmark against Sopro’s cross campaign stats, which are a unique insight into best-in-class prospecting results across company size, industry, and geography.

logo We identify areas of underperformance against these results and schedule the right changes to improve the right areas.

You’ll refine your already strong communications skills in English:

logo A lot of your daily tasks will involve written and verbal communication in English - either with internal teams in the UK, or clients across the world.

logo You’ll work closely with Tech, Client Services, Sales, R&D. You’ll support the management of multiple clients across various locations.

logo You’ll conduct full technical setup of campaigns and communicate actions to clients during their onboarding.

logo You’ll attend campaign performance review calls and respond to client delivery queries via email.

logo You’ll send campaign reporting summaries to clients, and make suggestions on how to optimize campaign performance.

logo And you’ll keep in touch with our Client Services team in Brighton on day-to-day internal calls and chats.

logo You’ll work closely with all types of businesses – from startups to large international companies, from Marketing and Tech to Oil & Energy or Pharmaceuticals. You’ll also gain insights into the economic potential of all those sectors whilst exploring limitless target locations and industries for our clients.

logo As you will work closely with the clients’ in house marketing teams or the top-level stakeholders, you will have the chance to learn first-hand about different businesses models.

logo You will also have an active role in consulting the clients on best practices for the campaigns and offer optimization suggestions to improve campaign performance and ROI.

logo We’ve used our years of experience to build a library of internal resources, which are always available to learn from. And if you have any prior knowledge of economics we’ll put it to good use!

Your career path

At Sopro we assess all roles based on abillity - not years of experience. With clear, objective criteria everyone in the team knows where they are, what they need to do to progress, and most importantly how we are going to help to get them there. We also recognise that people management is not for everyone, and have two clear, separate paths for progression. Both involve constantly developing and improving delivery/technical skills, with the leadership stream also progressing to line management of your own team (and ultimately - teams).
