GDPRLocal

On this occasion we are excited to present a new opening within the GDPRLocal team, one of our Founders Hub incubator companies. GDPRLocal is a dynamic, high-tech, data protection company, providing GDPR compliant services to a wide range of companies across the EU and globally.

We are growing our GDPRLocal team to support our existing and new clients – they have huge plans and will grow fast.

 

THE ROLE

As the Compliance Operations Manager, you will be the driving force behind our team of compliance experts and our international clients, focusing on GDPR and data protection. Your role is pivotal in ensuring seamless project execution, efficient operations, and client satisfaction. To excel in this position, you should be a proactive self-starter with a strong compliance, GDPR and data protection knowledge, operational background and good project management skills. You will serve as the linchpin between the GDPRLocal team and our international clients, overseeing the implementation of GDPR, compliance and data protection projects and fostering trust with our clients.

Key responsibilities
  • Lead and inspire our team of GDPR and compliance experts, providing guidance and mentorship.
  • Oversee and manage compliance-related projects at a senior level, ensuring effective planning, execution, and successful outcomes.
  • Collaborate closely with international clients to understand their specific compliance needs and objectives.
  • Serve as a point of contact for the GDPRLocal team and clients, on escalated queries, offering expert guidance and building strong, trusted relationships.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients’ data processing activities, identifying areas of non-compliance and potential risks.
  • Understand the commercial landscape and align compliance and risk management strategies with customer expectations.
  • Maintain an in-depth understanding of GDPR and other data protection regulations.
  • Keep the GDPRLocal team and clients informed of regulatory changes and their implications.
  • Navigate the unique challenges of international data protection regulations and tailor compliance strategies accordingly.
  • Effectively influence senior stakeholders and collaborate internally with the Co-Founder and Head of Service delivery for ensuring business success and delivery.
  • Contribute towards the achievement of company’s strategic and operational objectives
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, set and monitor KPIs, and provide leadership to the team.
  • Champion a strategic mindset across the business and drive the evolution of GDPR and data protection services
Requirements

ABOUT YOU

  • 5+ years of working experience in compliance
  • Strong understanding of compliance, assurance and risk management approaches
  • Data protection knowledge and experience to DPO level, ideally with GDPR and other frameworks
  • Proven experience working with international clients
  • Proven experience of managing complex projects in an international environment
  • Operational mindset; experience in working with KPIs and developing and managing to plans
  • Excellent leader; ability to motivate and drive a team to deliver against plans and KPIs
  • Commercially minded; Understanding the need to meet customer expectations
  • Able to work with strategy and understand high-level objectives and plans
  • Able to influence stakeholders and operate with Senior Management Teams
  • Experienced in investment / funding options and growing companies
  • Understanding of SDLC
  • Attentive to details and delivery focused
  • Proactive and adaptable
