About the role

We have an exciting new opportunity for a Team Manager to join our rapidly expanding Talent Acquisition team. This role reports to the Head of People and will work with the Head of People and other Heads of Department to develop and implement the recruitment strategy relating to attracting, sourcing and selecting the top talent, to meet the growing hiring demands of the business.

Key responsibilities

Team Management

  • Ideally, 2+ years experience managing a team of Talent Acquisition Executives, you will have accountability for team performance, ensuring all relevant KPIs are achieved across the team at both collective and individual levels
  • Manage and track employee holiday, absence and performance matters, implementing the various stages of the company’s HR and Performance Management policies where appropriate
  • Help in developing the new starter induction training program and content, as well as delivering new starter inductions and training for new additions to the team
  • Develop employees to full competence through staggered and supported introduction to their roles and responsibilities with the help of senior executives within the team
  • Represent the various working policy stances and positions of the business with confidence and authority, maintaining employee trust and motivation at all times
  • Lead by example to develop an environment of trust, maturity and positivity within the workplace, ensuring a motivated and happy team

Recruitment Strategy

  • Demonstrate an ability to prioritise and organise a large volume of work for a team of Talent Acquisition Executives, ensuring a high-quality service to internal stakeholders and candidates alike
  • Develop successful talent acquisition strategies and hiring plans within a fast-paced business, in a competitive candidate market (particular focus and emphasis on tech/IT roles)
  • Research and identify partnering opportunities, exploring new and emerging markets for talent including negotiating terms and conditions, service levels and monitoring effectiveness of providers
  • Identify and implement new recruitment processes and methods, ensuring our processes are slick and hiring manager/candidate experience is second to none
  • Lead employer branding initiatives, in conjunction with the Employer Branding Executive and the Marketing team
  • Develop strategic relations with contacts within key associations and university programs to support the sourcing of top talent
  • Develop and maintain good relationships with external and internal stakeholders through integrity and professionalism, always

Talent Acquisition

  • Perform sourcing to fill open positions and anticipate future needs
  • Responsible for the full cycle hiring process for a selection of roles; from the search to the signing of the successful candidate
  • Lead the way in providing an exceptional candidate experience
  • Ability to create and inspire team environment with an open communication culture
  • In depth knowledge of full cycle recruiting, as well as familiarity of different selection methods (interviews, assignments, psychological tests)
  • Excellent communication and team management skills
  • Ability to make responsible and effective decisions
  • Experience with HRIS, ATS and Sourcing and Recruitment Marketing tools
  • A sharp eye for talented individuals and a commitment to helping them find success at Sopro
  • Excellent delegation and time management skills
  • A critical thinker, who loves nothing more than coming up with creative solutions to overcome obstacles and challenges
