THE ROLE

We have a great opportunity for a Chief Technology Officer, assuming responsibility for leading and growing our technical team of developers, designers and system admins, helping them mature to achieve the highest level of technical competence. Reporting to the CIO, you will drive the delivery of the technical strategy, from UX design to product development, as well as the overall structure of the department to meet the growing demands of the business.

Key responsibilities
  • Provide exemplary leadership, through coaching and mentorship (direct line management of up to team leads of various disciplines)
  • Explore technological trends and recommend new progressive technologies and innovations
  • Hire and lead a team of experts, both in-house and working with partners
  • Build an environment conducive to an aggressive deployment schedule
  • Owning data security and management
  • Drive performance, efficiency, and effectiveness of the engineering teams
  • Bridge the gap between the business and the technology function to boost commercial opportunities
  • All work will be in the English language, so we are looking for candidates with exceptional written and spoken English
Requirements
  • You will have come from a hands-on background in software development.
  • In-depth knowledge of the process of successfully taking a product from early stages to deployment
  • An exceptional leader, you will have the technical awareness to guide and challenge senior developers and architects to maintain a clear, pragmatic focus in the team
  • Experience working a fast-paced environment with continuous deployment, test-driven development and agile methodologies – e.g. Scrum, Kanban
  • A creative thinker with a vision, you will possess sharp analytical and problem-solving skills
